Spencer wore a unique gown of draped green lace, while Viola Davis supported her Help co-star in a futuristic white dress paired with jewel toned heels. Danai Gurira looked fabulous in a body-hugging white cocktail dress that was utterly feminine — the extreme opposite of the take-n0-prisoners character on the hit show, The Walking Dead.

“Washed in pristine white, the sitdown dinner was marked with bright floral arrangements and plenty of champagne,” remarks the Times about the evening, which was punctuated with memorable speeches from celebrity introducers, including Robert Pattison.
