Jay-Z puts Brooklyn Nets 'Carter 4' jerseys up for auction to support charity

Rapper and partial own of the Brooklyn Nets, Jay-Z has placed ten of his personal Brooklyn Nets "Carter 4" jerseys up for auction at auctions.NBA.com last week.

Jay-Z, rap icon and part owner of the Brooklyn Nets, placed ten of his personal Brooklyn Nets “Carter 4” jerseys up for auction at auctions.nba.com last week.

The Brooklyn native sported the new Brooklyn Nets jersey during his well-received concert series at the Barclays Center, which began on September 28th.

The number 4 Nets jersey has Brooklyn on its front and Carter on the back in white lettering.

Jay-Z is auctioning off five home and five road jerseys with his signature on each jersey’s size tag reading, “Peace Jay-Z.”

The auction started last week, but fans have until October 31st to place a bid.  The jerseys are averaging over $800, one as high as $1,020 as of this morning.

All proceeds are going to the Shawn Carter Foundation, which awards scholarships to students who are financially in need.
