Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

Director Quentin Tarantino left no stone upturned when finding an all star cast for his upcoming slave revenge movie, Django Unchained, and he seems to be taking the same approach when recruiting talent for the film’s accompanying soundtrack.

In a recent interview with GQ, the Odd Future crooner Frank Ocean said he has been tapped to work on Tarantino’s latest film among other projects:

As we make our way back from Astoria, Ocean tells me that he’s got at least five projects in the works, among them a song he wrote for Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained; songs he’s working on for Alicia Keys and Beyoncé; songs for his own third album; and a European tour, which he says he wants to model on Pink Floyd’s The Wall tour. He’s even thinking about maybe opening his own arcade (though later he’ll post on Tumblr that this idea is “morphing”).

With arguably 2012’s best R&b album underneath his belt and having the privilege to perform on Saturday Night Live‘s season premiers, it’s fair to say that Frank Ocean’s 2012 is ending with a bang.

Are you excited to hear that Ocean will be on Django Unchained’s soundtrack?
