Kenya Moore is steaming things up on season 5 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.  The actress, producer, and beauty queen started out this season trying to play nice, but has already been dubbed by many as the mean girl of the cast.

After winning the Miss USA crown in 1993, Moore has appeared in movies including Waiting to Exhale, Deliver Us from Eva, and I Know Who Killed Me, but her part as a Real Housewife is proving to be her most acclaimed on-camera role. Moore told theGrio that she hopes to soon star alongside her RHOA cast member NeNe Leakes, in a film which she has in the works.

“I wrote a film a while ago and I actually spoke to NeNe about possibly playing a role in that film, so I really hope to work with her,” she said. “I think we would collaborate really well together.”

The Detroit native, who currently heads up Moore Vision Media, an independent production company, also has her eyes set on a producing a reality competition similar to Tyra Banks’ America’s Next Top Model. “I Love what Tyra is doing. I have a television show in development that’s similar to that but it’s based in the pageant world,” Moore revealed.

When asked if she feels that she and her fellow cast members are portrayed as ladies on the RHOA, Moore said she thinks the public’s perception of them is often unreasonable. “We’re independent women, we’re mothers, daughters, and wives…we represent what it’s like to be a business owners. So to say that we’re not good examples, I think it’s unfair.”

Moore also set the record straight on whether or not she is the bully of the show. “I am definitely not a mean girl…I’m not that girl. For me my heart is always in the right place and that’s where it will always be.”
