Comedian Kevin Hart and Will Ferrell may soon combine their talents on the big screen.

According to Deadline, Warner Brothers is currently in negotiations to acquire Get Hard, a comedy that will star Ferrell and Hart.

Thus far, “the plan is for Ferrell to play a rich, soft-handed investment bank manager who is sentenced to a maximum security prison for a crime he didn’t commit. He hires the streetwise [Hart] guy who normally washes his car to get him ready to do hard time in the 30 days before he has to report to prison.”

The script for Get Hard will reportedly be written by Ian Roberts and Jay Martel who currently serve as showrunners and executive producers for Comedy Central’s Key & Peele.

Ferrell is currently filming the sequel Anchorman: The Legend Continues.

Hart is coming off the success of his hit Think Like A Man, and his sold out national comedy tour Laugh At My Pain.

The 32-year-old comedian is presently in Atlanta filming the buddy cop action film, Ride Along, with Ice Cube, Tika Sumpter and John Lequizamo.
