Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

Did you see Denzel Washington’s acclaimed performance as a drug and alcohol addicted pilot in the hit drama Flight?

If not, fear not. Although the Robert Zemeckis film is on its way out of theaters, it’ll soon be arriving on DVD and blu-ray.

Paramount Pictures has just announced that the movie will be hitting stores on February 5th.

In Flight, Denzel gives one of his most fearless performances as Whip Whitaker, a role which has garnered considerable Oscar buzz.

“No actor is as brilliant, or as cunning, as Denzel Washington at portraying superhuman coolness and the scary prospect of its loss,” wrote New York magazine’s David Edelstein.

Todd McCarthy of the Hollywood Reporter adds that Flight “provides Denzel Washington with one of his meatiest, most complex roles, and he flies with it.”

Washington has already earned a Golden Globe nomination for the film. Academy Award nominations are announced on January 10th.
