Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal posted a ‘bathroom etiquette’ picture on his Facebook Wednesday that sparked numerous anti-gay remarks.

In the picture is a drawing of a set of bathroom urinals in which one man uses the urinal directly next to another man, despite many other open urinals available far from the one individual.

Along with the post O’Neal wrote, “This is an automatic fight in my book…….LMFAO.”

Whether the post and picture were meant to be offensive or not is unclear, but the comments that followed were decisively anti-gay.

“That definitely makes him gay!!!” wrote one Facebook user.

“Thats [sic] because he wants something gay,” wrote another user.

Other users that responded to the post voiced their disapproval.

“Glad to know you like to start hate dialogue against gay people shaq [sic] just lost a fan here,” a user wrote.

This post is a far cry from October of 2011, when O’Neal partnered with the NBA and American Federation of Teachers for GLAAD’s “Amplify Your Voice!” campaign against bullying.
