Beyoncé proved that she can indeed sing “The Star Spangled Banner” live today.

During the press conference for Sunday’s Super Bowl game, Beyoncé took the stage wearing a white long sleeve dress, to reveal details about her half time performance and answer questions about her presidential inauguration lip syncing debacle.

Before answering any questions she asked the press in the room to stand, and belted out an a cappella version of the National Anthem.

“Does anybody have any questions?” she asked after her stirring performance.

“I am a perfectionist,” she said when asked about the inaugural performance, explaining that she chose to use “a backing track” due to a lack of sound check and adequate rehearsal time.

“I’m very proud of my performance,” she added. She also said that she did sing along to her own voice that was on a prerecorded track.

However for her upcoming Super Bowl half time show performance Beyoncé says she will absolutely be singing live. “I will absolutely be singing live. This is what I was born to do,” she said.

Over the weekend Beyoncé posted a photo to Instagram that many said was an attempt to “address her headline-making Inauguration performance.”

The 31-year-old “Diva” singer released a photo of herself sporting a B-Side sweatshirt by Wale Adeyemi  with the words “Can I Live?” written on it.
