While you were sleeping last night, Drake dropped a single for your listening pleasure. The track is called “5AM In Toronto” and yes, it’s a banger.
Drake spits bars about other rappers imitating his style. He not-so-subtly dismisses hip-hop “lists,” which could be a reference to MTV’s latest ‘Hottest MC’ rankings.
MTV places Drizzy at number 5 — a position he’s definitely doesn’t endorse.
“I made Forbes‘ list this year / f**k your list, everything is looking gorgeous,” Drake raps.
The “OVO” emcee has been on a lyrical tirade since releasing his first single from his upcoming album, Nothing Was The Same. That song, “Started From The Bottom,” has received heavy praise and “5AM” should be no different.
It appears as if Aubrey Graham is ready for war.
