NBC New York – A longtime member of the WNBC family has died. Bob Teague was one of New York City’s first black television reporters, and covered every aspect of life for the next 28 years. Teague died in New Brunswick, N.J. Thursday of T-cell lymphoma, according to his wife, Jan. He was 84 years old.
The New York Association of Black Journalists shared a short comment via their Facebook page:
“NYABJ is deeply saddened to learn that we have lost a legendary black journalist who certainly paved the way for all of us. Condolences to the family and friends of Bob Teague.”
