Actress Keshia Knight Pulliam, best known for her role as the young and lively “Rudy Huxtable” on the hit sitcom The Cosby Show, turns 34 today.

It has been over 20 years since the hit series aired but fans of the popular comedy television show will always remember the Huxtables and the laughter and entertainment the iconic African-American TV family provided.

Pulliam, who starred on The Cosby Show from age 5 to age 13 — and throughout the show’s eight seasons — mastered the part that soon allowed her to become the youngest actress to ever be nominated for an Emmy award.

After the show’s ending, Pulliam went on to appear in several films including 2005’s Beauty Shop with Queen Latifah and Tyler Perry’s Madea Goes to Jail.

The young star also participated in a few reality TV shows and won the celebrity versions of Fear Factor in 2002 and The Weakest Link.

Most recently, she was a contestant on ABC’s celebrity diving show Splash – where she was the first to be eliminated.

Pulliam attended Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia where she earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology. The actress currently owns her own production company, Kizzy Productions, and splits her time between Atlanta and L.A.
