Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

Thought Will and Jada were in an open marriage? Think again.

The actress and mother of three recently took to Facebook to address rumors of an open marriage between her and husband Will Smith.

The five-paragraph letter addresses comments made in a recent interview with The Huffington Post, where she said, “I’ve always told Will, ‘You can do whatever you want as long as you can look at yourself in the mirror and be okay.’”

“Because at the end of the day, Will is his own man. I’m here as his partner, but he is his own man,” she added.

Jada Pinkett Smith’s remarks sparked debate and gossip about her relationship with Will Smith and fueled rumors that the two were in an open marriage. But the actress released a note clarifying these comments and elaborating on the “need to discuss the relationship between trust and love and how they co-exist.”

After a sequence of rhetorical questions, Jada ends her note by saying:

“Here is how I will change my statement…Will and I BOTH can do WHATEVER we want, because we TRUST each other to do so. This does NOT mean we have an open relationship…this means we have a GROWN one.”
