Chicago rapper and Def Jam recording artist Lil Reese was arrested on a warrant after he was found early Sunday morning sleeping in a car.
According to The Chicago Tribune, the arrest warrant was issued Thursday in Champaign County for Lil Reese, whose real name is Tavares Taylor.
The arrest warrant is in connection to an infamous Internet video that surfaced in 2012 which appeared to show the GBE rapper getting into a physical altercation with a young woman.
After internally dismissing the video as the work of “haters,” Lil Reese tweeted an apology as backlash began to build.
Lil Reese is a member of the Glory Boyz, with fellow rapper Chief Keef, who’s been under scrutiny recently for a misogynistic lyric he tweeted.
