theGRIO REPORT - Former Philadelphia Eagles Pro Bowl linebacker Jeremiah Trotter makes his acting debut in the upcoming independent film The North Star.

Former Philadelphia Eagles Pro Bowl linebacker Jeremiah Trotter makes his acting debut in the upcoming independent film The North Star.

Trotter plays the role of a slave who escapes a plantation and relocates in Bucks County Pennsylvania.

“His instincts were absolutely amazing and off the charts,” the film’s writer and director Thomas Phillips said. “And as an actor you can’t teach that. That’s something that’s God given.”

The former NFL player said it was challenging to dig up emotions for a scene when his character cries.

“That was the toughest part of the movie for me,” Trotter said.

The film screenings will be May 2 in Doylestown, PA.
