Rapper Bow Wow recently gave an interview to an entertainment website, and shared a few entertaining stories from his past. Among them: He told of his teen years, including the time he spent with the family of basketball star Michael Jordan.
“I’m actually real cool with his sons, Marcus and Jeffrey, we kinda grew up together,” he told Montreality in a video interview. “Being on tour, every time we came to Chicago, even at the age of like 15, they would come around and we just clicked.”
The rapper talked about playing basketball with the Jordans, and interjected one story that demonstrated that Jordan’s famous competitive streak extended off the court.
“There’d be times I stayed over at the family [home], ya know, Mr. Jordan’s house…actually a funny story, I actually wore some Iversons [sneakers] to their house…and Michael Jordan woke us all up and was like, ‘whose is these?’” he said.
“I was like ‘they’re mine.’ And I never saw my A.I.’s after that moment. I was in some Jordans going down to play some basketball.”
The current 106 & Park co-host also revealed other amusing tidbits including what he spent his first big paycheck on, his favorite video game and his last meal of choice.
On a more serious note, Bow Wow also discusses the first time he met late rapper Chris Kelly, his upcoming documentary “Who is Shad Moss?” and his keys to success.
