Tyrese and Ludacris: ‘We want Halle Berry in ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise’

Tyrese Gibson and Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges have teamed up for Fast & Furious 6, the latest installment of the Fast & Furious franchise.
The pair star alongside Vin Diesel, Dwanye Johnson, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster.
TheGrio got a change to catch up with Tyrese and Ludacris while they were in London promoting the film.
They both agreed that if they could, they would cast Oscar winner Halle Berry as their respective romantic interest in the film.
“We’re both fighting over Halle Berry being in the franchise and having sex scenes,” Ludacris admitted. “Yes we need that.”
“She does these big franchise type movies,” Tyrese continued. “ We’ve seen Jordana pregnant, she’s pregnant right now. We could really make use of Halle Berry in this movie. Give me some of that Halle Berry bottom lip c’mon.”
Fast & Furious 6 hits theaters this Friday, just weeks after Iron Man 3 blew box office estimates away during the film’s opening weekend.
According to Tyrese, he and his fellow cast members don’t get caught up in the hype around box office numbers.
“I think the competitive [aspect]; how our box office numbers compared to everyone else is something that the Hollywood folks get caught up in,” he said.
“The competition is honestly within us, showing up every day to be the best version of us that we can be, and whatever the box office numbers are gonna be…That’s just what it is.”
However Tyrese did give the Iron Man franchise a shout out.
“Salute to Iron Man 3 for those numbers. It’s a beautiful thing. We love that. I hope they call me for Iron Man 4.”
