Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

What started as a simple twit pic turned into a race debate with singer Miguel being somehow in the middle of it all.

After taking a moment to post an image of himself wearing a sweater which displayed a large green skeleton hand throwing up the devil sign, he was immediately accused by fans and followers of worshiping demons.

“I’m proud of my heritage but honestly, black people are the most judgmental people in the world. Sh*ts sad man,” said the R&B singer. “We’ve been conditioned, pre-programmed to hate ourselves.”

Miguel went on to elaborate about the “crabs in a barrel” mentality that he believes plagues African-Americans. He wishes that black people collectively would lift each other up rather than tear each other down.

“That’s why I appreciate those who choose to think and act for themselves regardless of ethnicity or culture,” the “Adorn” singer said.

Miguel has a multicultural ethnic background, being half black and Mexican. He’s been in the news for accidentally injuring a fan during a live performance at the Billboard Music Awards.
