TODAY – First lady Michelle Obama incorporated her trip to Africa into her Instagram debut on Thursday, posting both a photo and video from her visit to Senegal.
“My first instagram! So inspired and so impressed by these extraordinary young women,” she wrote on the caption of a photo of her posing with daughter Malia and other young ladies.
The photo was quickly followed by a video of female middle school students dancing in a welcome ceremony at a school in Dakar.
So far, the first lady’s account (@michelleobama) is only following one other user: the White House (@whitehouse), which posted its first photo on Wednesday — an image of the first family taking off in a Marine One aircraft.
