theGRIO REPORT - During part 2 of her interview with theGrio's Chris Witherspoon, Oprah reveals that her new passion is buying land...

The last time Oprah Winfrey had a starring role in major film was 15 years ago with Beloved, a movie based on Toni Morrison’s novel of the same name.

However, Oprah’s new role in Lee Daniels’ The Butler, already has critics buzzing that the 59-year-old media icon may finally win an Oscar.

During part two of her interview with theGrio, Oprah talked about her role as Gloria Gaines, the wife of Cecil Gaines in The Butler, and revealed a secret many of her fans would be curious to know.

In powerful scene from The Butler, Gloria [Oprah] interrogates her husband [Forrest Whitaker], wanting him to tell her how many pairs of shoes first lady Jackie Kennedy has in her White House shoe closet.

When asked by Chris Witherspoon how many pairs of shoes she owns, Oprah replied, “I honestly do not know.”

“I would have to say that I’m actually trying to have fewer shoes now than in the days when I was doing The Oprah [Winfrey] Show. In the days when I was doing The Oprah [Winfrey] Show I tried not to repeat outfits, and in the later years I would repeat maybe once a month or something… I think I have as many shoes as Jackie Kennedy did. I really do. I think he said like 150 pairs or something like that.”

The queen of talk later confessed that her passion has shifted from buying shoes to purchasing land.

“I am a girl who loves land more than shoes. So if you show me a great piece of real estate, it gives me heart palpitations. I love land more than I do shoes.”

Oprah also revealed that comedian Bill Cosby first introduced her to real art.

“Bill Cosby called me up one day, actually he sent me, two pieces of sculpture by Elizabeth Catlett, and he said, ‘Sis’ this is where you should be putting some of your money because your going to grow tired of buying shoes, and that is the truth. After a while you get tired of buying shoes.”

The Butler hits theaters nationwide August 16.
