Following the success of Harlem rapper A$AP Rocky, the next member of the A$AP Mob, A$AP Ferg, is ready to shine.
The “Work” rapper believes he can continue to build on what his group member did with his debut album, Trap Lord.
“Rocky was the first one out the gate to represent the Mob and I was there during the ups and downs,” said Ferg about learning from A$AP Rocky. “He dealt with a lot and it made him stronger.”

Since A$AP Ferg is a Harlem native, Trap Lord has obvious New York influences sonically, yet he makes sure to pay homage to emcees that influenced and came before him.
Veteran acts such as Bone Thugs N Harmony, B-Real of Cypress Hill and Onyx all make appearances on the 13-track LP and Ferg’s second single is a tribute to dancehall pioneer, Shabba Ranks.
“Shabba is a fan of the track and his kids are a fan of A$AP Mob,” recalled Ferg. “For him to appear in the music video was very humbling and an honor.”
