Kanye West tells ‘Kris’: Kim Kardashian is ‘my joy’

TODAY – Kanye West doesn’t open up to just anyone, particularly when talking about his personal life. But for Friday’s episode of “Kris,” he sat down with Kris Jenner — mom to his beloved Kim Kardashian — and really opened up. He also might have just brought along a first public photo of his and Kardashian’s daughter, North West.
“Someone could say you know, ‘When the paparazzi surround you, how could you … everyone knows you don’t like paparazzi, but why would you, why would you be with this person?'” he told Jenner, in a clip shown on TODAY Thursday. “And I’m saying I’m being with this person because, you know I love this person. And she’s worth it to me.”
He added, “She’s my joy, and she brought my new joy into the world.”
Jenner joined the TODAY team via phone to help tease the upcoming episode, and noted, “What surprised me about the interview is I learned things that I didn’t have any idea about him…. Everybody will be super surprised to see this other side of Kanye West.”
