Toni Christina Jenkins, a server at a Tennessee Red Lobster, received a racist slur in the tip section of a receipt from costumers.

The 19-year-old nursing student posted a photo of the receipt to her Facebook page, but it has since been removed.

The receipt shows that the  “none” was written on the tip line, and that “Ni**er” was written on the total line.

According to the Huffington Post, Jenkins’ caption on Facebook read: “This is what I got as a tip last night… so happy to live in the proud southern states…God Bless America, land of the free and home of the low class racists of Tennessee.”

Jenkins shared the story of what happened with the Daily Mail, saying, “They were extremely rude, but I introduced myself to them and they didn’t respond. When I came to take their order they simply told me they wanted their food and to put everything in a to-go box.”

Adding that when she returned to the table the guests were gone and the credit card slip was on the table.

While most of the comments are supportive, there are some on Facebook and Reddit users who question the receipt’s validity.

Since posting the insult, Jenkins has been placed on paid leave by the restaurant until they decide what to do.
