Kanye West disses Ray J on ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’

Kanye West’s latest album Yeezus has faced criticism for being too misogynistic and is a drastic step away from his soulful upbeat production roots.

While the majority of the tracks on Yeezus do indeed have a dark tone, one of the standouts tracks is “Bound 2” featuring R&B legend Charlie Wilson.

In a rare in studio performance, Kanye performed a live version of “Bound 2” with Wilson and The Roots on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

Kanye recruited a children’s choir to flesh out the hook and then end result sounds amazing. The Chicago emcee also used the stage to address singer Ray J, who insulted his current girlfriend Kim Kardashian earlier this year.

“Brandy little sister fake, and he knows it now,” Kanye rapped in the opening verse of “Bound 2” in a direct response to Ray J chart topping single “I Hit It First” which thinly veiled references to his previous romantic relationship with Kardashian.

“When a real brother holds you down, you supposed to drown” said Kanye, comparing himself to Ray J and defending his girlfriend’s honor.

Ouch. Though Kanye West didn’t respond immediately to Ray J’s boasts, it appears he was just biding his time for the proper platform to respond.
