PITTSBURGH (AP) — Franco Harris is going from Super Bowl champ to “Champion of Champions.”

The Pittsburgh Opera says the Steelers’ Hall of Famer will be featured in its season-opening production of “Aida.”

The Tribune-Review of Pittsburgh reports the retired running back will be “Champion of Champions,” a silent, ceremonial role found in the second act.

Performances begin Oct 12.

Harris won four Super Bowls with the Steelers. More recently, the former Penn State star has been an outspoken supporter of the late coach, Joe Paterno, who lost his job in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal.
