A new trial date has been set for the Detroit police officer accused in the shooting death of 7-year-old Aiyana Stanley-Jones.

Officer Joseph Weekley will stand trial for a second time on December 4, according to the Detroit Free Press. Weekley’s first trial ended without a verdict in June after jurors deliberated for three days, ending in a deadlock.

Weekley’s gun went off during a May 2010 raid in search of a murder suspect, killing Stanley-Jones. The officer is being charged with involuntary manslaughter and careless discharge of a firearem causing death.

Rapper J. Cole dedicated his newest music video for his single “Crooked Smile,” featuring TLC, to Aiyana Stanley-Jones. In the video, Cole plays a father who’s daughter is killed during a DEAraid after a summer BBQ.
