A Philadelphia youth football coach has been charged with raping two young boys.
Part-time coach for the Rhawnhurst Raiders Leon Watson is accused of raping two brothers, ages eight and nine, that he met through the team.
The two boys and their mother were homeless and moved in with Watson. It was while living with the 24-year-old that the alleged rapes happened.
Watson also formed a neighborhood football team with North Philadelphia kids.
“He seemed like he was a nice person,” Watson’s neighbor Marcella Frisby told NBC Philadelphia. “Trying to help the kids. Keeps the young boys off the street, playing football.”
According to NBC Philadelphia, “Watson is charged with Rape, Involuntary Deviant Sexual Intercourse (IDSI), False Imprisonment, Unlawful Restraint, Endangering the Welfare of a Child (EWOC), Corruption of Minors, Indecent Exposure, Indecent Assault, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person (REAP).”
