Coming to America was not only one of the biggest hits of 1988, it is one of the most beloved ‘black’ comedies of all time.

Now 25 years later, its stars, Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall, have reunited on Hall’s late night talk show and they’re talking candidly about whether or not the classic film will ever get a sequel.

“We still kinda look the same too,” Murphy said when shown a vintage photo of himself and Hall in character.

Murphy tells some amusing anecdotes about how legal wrangling after the film’s release stymied any opportunity for a follow-up.

The legendary comedian claims he used to be accosted by Africans claiming to be “the real prince.”
