The folk pop duo, consisting of Abner Ramirez and Amanda Sudano are currently making waves with their latest EP Heartbeats.

The album has done so well the singers were selected along with Lorde, and Jay-Z’s rock group, HAIM, to perform at VH1’s “You Oughta Know” concert series.

The Nashville tandem is also happily married. The music they create together strengthens their marriage, but it’s also their form of therapy.

“We get a lot of our issues off our chest,” said Ramirez. “It’s a blessing to have that partnership with your wife. And when Amanda starts singing when we perform, it’s truly amazing.

Amazing indeed but not at all surprising. Amanda Sudano is the daughter of musicians Bruce Sudano and the late disco legend Donna Summer. Amanda’s inherited her mother’s looks and powerful voice and like her parents, music brought her and Abner together.

Donna Summer was so much more than the ‘Queen of Disco’

“She’d be so happy for our success together,” Sudano said about her mother’s impact on her career. “We’re following in the footsteps of her and my father. And no matter how successful we are, we still have each other.”
