Fresh off being the master of ceremonies at the mass wedding during Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ performance of “Same Love” at the Grammys, Queen Latifah will once again be center stage this Sunday.

Latifah has been tapped to sing “America the Beautiful” at this year’s Super Bowl.

The New Jersey native will have the opportunity to perform in her home state, while Bruno Mars and The Red Hot Chilli Peppers will handle the halftime show.

Born Dana Elaine Owens, Queen Latifah is one of hip-hop’s original feminist pioneers. Known for her classic woman’s anthem “U.N.I.T.Y.”, she’s an Oscar-nominated actress and accomplished jazz singer.
