Jesse Boykins III is probably your favorite singer’s favorite singer.
Boykins defines his particular brand of music as “World Soul”. As an artist, who takes joy in creating music that can’t be defined by genre, Boykin’s credits his international tour for influencing his sound.
“The concept of World Soul, just came from my travels across the globe, but also how I view soul music as a whole,” explained the Brooklyn singer. “Soul music comes from the heart and it’s honest.”
The former art student’s affinity for all cultures, combined with his rich voice, makes for a very unique live listening experience at a Jesse Boykins III show.
“It’s all about connecting with your audience. When you’re able to sing about love and culture on a different level, it becomes powerful.”
