Who should be on the NBA's Mount Rushmore?

The debate over who should be on the NBA’s Mount Rushmore was reignited earlier this week with comments made by LeBron James during an interview with NBA TV.

The Miami Heat star said that the “easy three, that we talk about in our league is Michael Jordan, Larry Bird and you got Magic Johnson.”

As far as the fourth legend, James added Oscar Robertson, but said he feels he will be joining the greats one day, saying, “I’m going to be one of the top four to ever play this game, for sure.”

At age 29, James is already a two-time NBA champion, two-time Olympic gold medalist and four-time NBA MVP, but the jury is still out as to whether he can earn a spot on the hypothetical mountain.

During NBA All-Star Weekend, the Mount Rushmore debate was in full swing. Even Los Angeles Laker Kobe Bryant shared his picks: Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and Bill Russell.

Who do you think should take the place of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln for basketball’s version of Mount Rushmore?
