Each year, professionals in music, film and technology travel to Austin, TX for the annual South by Southwest Interactive Festival.
Among this year’s attendees is a group of minority individuals who are part of the Movement 50 — a coalition formerly known as Blacks in Technology — which is comprised of African-Americans and people of color who work in technology organizations.
This year, MVMT 50 has partnered with several media organizations, including theGrio, to host a series of stimulating panel discussions and interactive events during the SXSW conference.
Among them will be a one-on-one discussion with media mogul Nick Cannon and actress/producer Reagan Gomez-Preston, who will talk about their experiences working in media.
Other workshops will focus on developing business ideas, building your personal brand and provide ways to fund innovative high-tech startups in under-served communities.
