Twelve-year-old Najah Lorde sold 2,833 boxes of Girl Scout cookies to become New York City’s top seller.
The young scout sold 1,111 boxes last year, falling short of Olivia Cranshaw, who had sold 1,800. This year Cranshaw finished in second with 2,141 boxes sold.
“I didn’t do anything differently from last year,” said Lorde, a seventh-grader, according to the NY Daily News. “I was just more determined.”
For this year’s win, Lorde was awarded a Nintendo Wii.
