For the first time ever, the Harvard Lampoon is run by two women.

Alexis Wilkinson is the president of Harvard University’s famous undergraduate humor publication, making her the first African-American and the first woman to serve in the position.

Wilkinson and vice president of the magazine Ellie Parker sat down with Jenna Bush Hager for a Today Show profile.

The Harvard University juniors say their election into leadership positions in what has traditionally been a male-dominated culture will send a message that women are welcome.

“I would love to write for television or for film,” Wilkinson said of future career aspirations. “I’m still kind of figuring it out.”
