A teacher in the United Kingdom was busted for running a $1.5 million cocaine laboratory in his home.
Macphallen Kuwale was sentenced to three-and-a-half years in jail by the Cardiff Crown Court last year.
A General Teaching Council for Wales hearing held Thursday identified Kuwale as an IT teacher at Coleg Cymunedol Y Dderwen, Bridgend, at the time of his arrest, reports the Huffington Post.
At the hearing Detective Timothy Jones, of South Wales Police’s drug squad, said that “Kuwale was heavily involved in the supply of cocaine,” adding that 111 grams of the drug were seized from his home, according to the Telegraph.
The former teacher was also caught with hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of cutting agents and a pressing machine.
Circumstances surrounding the case have caused many to liken Kuwale to the hit television series Breaking Bad, in which a high school chemistry teacher played by Bryan Cranston turns to selling methamphetamine.
Kuwale had his teaching license taken away and has been banned for life from teaching.
