Anita Baker isn’t just “Caught Up in the Rapture”, she’s embroiled in a messy civil suit — which may lead to her arrest.

According to the Detroit Free Press, an arrest warrant has been issued for the 56-year-old R&B diva for failing to pay up to $15,000 in fees for work done on her home in Grosse Pointe, Michigan.

“The bench warrant stems from the Grammy Award-winning singer’s failure to appear at a creditor’s examination in Wayne County Circuit Court last September after she was subpoenaed, said attorney Dan Gerow, who is representing Ray A. Smith Painting & Decorating,” according to the Press.

The work on Baker’s home includes carpentry, plastering and painting — all completed in 2009

According to Wayne County Circuit Court records, Baker has owed the $15,000 since 2011.

“I just want to collect the money,” Gerow reportedly told the judge.
