Supermodel Naomi Campbell tried her best to sidestep questions about the controversial April cover of Vogue magazine, which features Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.

While appearing on  Australia’s The Morning Show she smiled and said she “did not want to comment” when asked about the polarizing duo’s pictorial. Her answer was followed by a bout of laughter.

She calls getting the cover a “stepping stone” for a career that’s earned through hard work and later said, “I’m a fashion model, what can I say?”

“Kim and Kanye haven’t earned the right to be on the cover of Vogue?” the host asked Campbell.

“Those are your words, not mine. I’m being politically correct,” the fashion icon shot back.
