Music festival season officially began this weekend in the Inland Empire desert with Coachella 2014.

With a variety of performances ranging from rising stars like Chance The Rapper to more established acts, the crowd was treated to hip-hop royalty to end the weekend’s festivities.

The legendary Outkast took the stage to end day one of the festival with a medley of their hits including: “Elevators,” “Bombs Over Baghdad,” “ATLiens” and “Rosa Parks”.

Reportedly the fact that Big Boi and Andre 3000 were on the stage together for the first time in 12 years was lost on some of the attendees. There appears to have been booing during their 90-minute set.

The second day of the festival featured Queensbridge’s own Nas, who is in the midst of his tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of his debut album, Illmatic.

Running through Illmatic’s tracklist, ‘The Don’ also brought out former rival Jay Z along with Puff Daddy to perform “Dead Presidents II” and “Hate Me Now.”
