Pharrell’s “Happy” has grown from an upbeat, family friendly song with a message into a full-blown movement.

Taking their lead from the “Happy” 24-hour music video, the viral smash has spawned fan-made tributes from across the globe.

Watching the song’s worldwide impact has become a humbling experience for the mega-producer.

The multiple-Grammy-Award winner recently sat down with Oprah to discuss his universally loved tune and the Virginia Beach native broke down into tears of joy after watching clips from people of all different cultural backgrounds enjoying his hit song.

“It’s overwhelming because I love what I do,” said Pharrell in between sobs. “I just appreciate the fact that people have believed in me for so long, that I can make it to this point to feel that.”
