NBC Nightly News anchorman Brian Williams is renowned for his gravitas and journalistic acumen — but did you know he had rapping skills as well?

Footage of Williams has been used expertly by late night host Jimmy Fallon  for a serious of increasingly ambitious mash-ups videos which take his straight news reports and turn them into classic hip-hop songs.

Williams, always a good sport, joked about his hip-hop prowess while appearing on The Tonight Show this Monday. He claimed that actor Cuba Gooding, Jr. once told him he was “a huge figure in the rap and hip-hop community.”

In this installment, Williams (and some surprise guests) “raps” Snoop Dogg’s hit song “Gin and Juice.”

Check it out and let us know if it tops his interpretations of  “Rapper’s Delight”  and “Ain’t Nothin’ But a G Thang.”
