It has been two months since Lupita Nyong’o won a best supporting actress Academy Award for her role in 12 Years a Slave, and many fans have been wondering: what big movie role will she land next?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 31-year-old actress is in talks to join the cast of the new live-action/CGI remake of The Jungle Book.

Nyong’o—who recently landed the title of People magazine’s most beautiful person of 2014—is in final negotiations to play Rakcha, a mother wolf who adopts the lead character Mowgli.

Meanwhile, the role of Mowgli has not yet been cast.

If Nyong’o decides to hop on board with the film, she will be working alongside Idris Elba, who has already been cast to voice the man-eating tiger Shere Khan.

Actress Scarlett Johansson is also in beginning talks to join the cast of the film, as she is being considered to play Kaa, a slimy python who is the movie’s second villain following Khan.

The film, which is being directed by Jon Favreau (whose credits include Iron Man and Elf), is scheduled to release October 9, 2015.
