Afeni Shakur, the former Black Panther, activist, and mother of rap superstar Tupac Shakur, took on the duty of finishing the work her son was unable to complete after a bullet took his life in 1996. She is currently working to make his dreams a reality as founder and CEO of Amaru Entertainment, Inc., a record and film production company, and creator of the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation, Inc.

Lisa Nichols has transformed her life from struggling single mom to motivational millionaire entrepreneur, dedicating her life to teaching others how to do the same. Having reached millions, both nationally and internationally, with her powerful message of empowerment, service, excellence & gratitude. Her participation in the self-development phenomenon The Secret catapulted her popularity across the globe.

Understanding that is is not just an African-American issue; Ms. Fulton also wishes to engage all communities, extending the invitation to all mothers who have lost a child. Not just women of color. She says, “the loss of a child is unbearable. This kind of pain transcends all ethnic and socio-economic bounds. The goal of this retreat is to gather together women who like myself have experienced every mother’s nightmare but are looking to take the progressive steps forward towards healing. Like myself, Afeni Shakur has had her loss played out in the public eye. We partnered with Lisa Nichols to be able to impart the tools and wisdom we’ve gathered to help everyone that attends.”
