Saturday Night Live opened up Saturday’s show spoofing the now infamous video of Solange attacking Jay Z in the elevator of the Standard Hotel in New York City.

The skit featured cast members Jay Pharaoh playing Jay Z, Sasheer Zamata as Solange, and Keenan Thompson as Beyoncé’s bodyguard Julius.

The two offer their explanation for what happened that evening by providing audio from the elevator which showed that Solange was simply kicking and punching Jay Z in an effort to kill a spider that was on him.

In the sketch, Jay and Solange also turn on the now fired Standard Hotel employee who allegedly released the video to TMZ by providing his name and embarrassing video of him scratching himself in the hotel elevator. The skit offered another surprise as SNL alum Maya Rudolph made a guest appearance reprising her popular impersonation of Beyonce.
