theGRIO REPORT - A Houston father is accused to attacking his teenage daughter after he found out she chose a black friend to dance with at her upcoming Quinceanera.
A Houston father is accused of attacking his teenage daughter after he found out she chose a black friend to dance with at her upcoming Quinceañera.
According to court documents obtained by Click2Houston, Aaron Aranza, 37, allegedly became angry when his 14-year-old daughter selected an African-American boy to dance with during her Quinceañera dance practice.
The documents state Aranza allegedly attacked his daughter on April 11 with a belt and dragged her inside her grandmother’s house, where the practice was taking place.
The father left the scene before police arrived but was later arrested and is being held in Harris County Jail.
Aranza was charged by authorities with an injury to a child under 15.
