Sir Mix-A-Lot joined the Seattle Symphony last weekend to perform some of his popular hits, including “Baby Got Back.”

The rapper’s performance was part of this year’s Sonic Evolution project, which aims to bring the Symphony together with popular past and present local music.

The symphony commissions famous composers to write music inspired by artists from or associated with the city of Seattle.

Seattle native Sir Mix-A-Lot was selected by composer Gabriel Prokofiev as his artist inspiration this year.
