TODAY — Just weeks after “The View’s” creator Barbara Walters stepped down from the panel (and retired from her on-screen TV career), there’s been a major shakeup on the talk show. Longtime panelist Sherri Shepherd and recent addition Jenny McCarthy are leaving.
Former TODAY anchor Meredith Vieira, who once served as moderator on “The View,” stopped by TODAY Friday and discussed the news.
While Vieira didn’t have any insider info to offer, she did speculate about where the show could go from here.
“There may be men, I think, in the future on ‘The View,'” she said.
As for the women on their way out, they both confirmed the news of their departures on Thursday.

My View will be changing too. As will with many hard working folks. Thanks to everyone at the show for your dedication and an amazing year.
