Tyler Perry’s new scripted series for the Oprah Winfrey Network, If Loving You is Wrong, is a certified hit!

If Loving You is Wrong broke records delivering 1.93 million viewers making it the most watched series premiere in network history. The episode delivered a 1.47 rating in the key W25-54 demo up triple digits (+206%) vs. one year ago, and built every quarter hour among W25-54 climbing +13% over the course of the hour.

The show was still trending on Twitter in several major cities across the country, including Atlanta, this morning.

On the heels of OWN’s widely popular series The Haves and the Have Nots, comes Tyler Perry’s new primetime drama, If Loving You is Wrong, premiering two back-to-back episodes last night.

According to OWN, the storylines this season for If Loving You is Wrong will range from heartfelt to scandalous: “The sexy, sleek drama takes viewers into the lives of a group of husbands, wives and friends that live and love in the same middle class neighborhood. On the surface, they are true-to-life, relatable people — raising children, working jobs, finding and maintaining romance — but just below the veneer of happiness, their lives are entangled by heartbreak, deceit and lies that threaten to destroy everything.”

The series stars Edwina Findley Dickerson from HBO’s The Wire, Zulay Henao from Tyler Perry’s The Single Mom’s Club, April Parker-Jones, Amanda Clayton,  and Heather Hemmens.

If Loving You is Wrong is produced for OWN by Tyler Perry Studios. It is created, written, directed and executive produced by Tyler Perry.
