Rihanna to CBS: 'Fu** You'
theGRIO REPORT - Rihanna is speaking out and slamming CBS and the NFL for their decision to pull her video last week, and their plans to bring it back Thursday...
Last week, CBS made waves after canceling a pre-game opener featuring Rihanna on Jay-Z’s “Run this Town,” in the wake of the Ray Rice domestic violence scandal.
The hit song was suppose to serve as the backdrop while actor Don Cheadle narrated sequences about the Baltimore Ravens vs Pittsburgh Steelers “Thursday Night Football” season debut on CBS.
Many were left wondering if Rihanna was cut because of her past issues with domestic violence at the hands of her past boyfriend, Chris Brown.
CBS Sports Chairman Sean McManus said the issue was tone, not Rihanna’s involvement in a highly publicized domestic violence case.
“We thought journalistically and from a tone standpoint, we needed to have the appropriate tone and coverage. A lot of the production elements we wanted in the show are being eliminated because of time or tone,” said McManus.
Today Rihanna is speaking out and slamming CBS and the NFL for their decision to pull her video last week and their plans to bring it back Thursday.
“CBS you pulled my song last week, now you wanna slide it back in this Thursday? NO, F*** you! Y’all are sad for penalizing me for this,” Rihanna tweeted.
