Numerous outlets are reporting that Tyler Perry is expecting his first child.
Last week, the media mogul celebrated his 45th birthday in a celebrity bash which included a performance by Stevie Wonder.
According to the celebrity gossip site Bossip.com, during the party, Perry announced he was expecting his first child.
Perry didn’t reveal who the mother of his unborn child is, but sources close to Perry told Bossip.com that they believe the mother is model/philanthropist Gelila Bekele. She and Perry have been linked off and on for some five years.
A source close to celebrity blogger Necole Bitchie is confirming that Perry and Bekele are expecting their first child together.
The site writes that Bekele’s friend posted a photo with the model a month ago and captioned it, “Love Is In The Air” before revealing in the comments, “She is a good New friend from NYC and she is 7 months pregnant [with a] baby boy.”
During a 2011 interview with Ebony, Perry opened up about a pregnancy scare that he had with the “new lady” in his life.
“Back in December, when we thought we were having a kid, I got a little overwhelmed,” Perry said.  “Now, I got overwhelmed when I first got a dog because I knew I was responsible for this living creature. So think how I reacted to the thought of having a child.”
