A woman from Tyler, in East Texas, is accused of leaving her 5-month-old granddaughter in a locked car. She went to a movie and left the infant in the parking lot, locked inside the vehicle.

The woman’s name is Felicia Green. The Smith County jail held her on the charge of child endangerment.

Tyler police received a call on Wednesday night about a child sleeping in a car. They didn’t immediately say who made the call, but they got to the parking lot with firefighters who unlocked the vehicle and took the baby. It seems the child was left there alone for an hour, in mid-70 temperatures.

Employees at Carmike Cinemas helped the authorities find Green in a theater, where she told authorities she was baby-sitting. She is currently being held without bond, and there is no attorney listed for the woman.

While Texas Child Protective Services are investigating the case, the little girl is now with another relative.
